New College Pontefract is celebrating confirmation of an impressive five-year track record. The release of data by the DfE’s Education and Skills Funding Agency means that New College Pontefract is, for the fifth year in a row, in the top five of all sixth form colleges in the country for achievement.
Achievement rates are calculated by multiplying pass rates with retention rates, i.e. the number of students who stay on the course. This provides a realistic picture of how strong a provider is. The vast majority of students attending colleges at the top of the table have completed the qualifications they started.
