The TES FE Awards have shortlisted NEW College Pontefract in their Outstanding Teaching and Learning Initiative category for 2013.
The news was announced last week shortly after the sixth form college was also identified as runner up for the AoC Beacon Award for Effective Integration of Libraries/Learning Resource Centres in Curriculum Delivery.
Both accolades are highly sort after and regarded as recognition of those who demonstrate a commitment to excellence.
The feedback received for the Beacon Awards identified the excellence of our Learning Resource Centre, specifically at providing support for students and their learning.
The TES FE Awards have shortlisted our Media Studies team for outstanding Teaching and Learning. Out of the hundreds of entries for the third annual TES FE Awards received across 13 categories, applications were whittled down to 71 finalists. The winners will be unveiled at a ceremony on 28 February at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London.
Winners will receive a specially commissioned trophy and all finalists will receive certificates in recognition of their achievement.
