Thomas Egan has been successful selected to be part of the England student Rugby League team after a series of gruelling trials.
The 18 year old, who studies BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport at NEW College, first played for Yorkshire before being picked for the England trials and will now be going on tour to Czech Republic with the team.
Thomas will make his debut on 5th July in Newcastle.
Speaking of his success, he said: “It’s always been an aspiration of mine to play for my country at any level and hopefully this opportunity will improve my playing career.”
