Music students at New College Pontefract, showcased an array of musical talent at Wakefield Cathedral this week.
The students took part in the lunchtime and evening Christmas concert on Tuesday, December 15, in front of an audience of over 200 people. The performance included original compositions, solo pieces, a harp player, a pianist and a vocal group finale.
Michelle Colvill, New College Head of Performing Arts, said: “I am very proud of the talented and committed students we have at college. The students were absolutely amazing! The standard of their performances was truly outstanding and I feel so proud of them all. The audience were very appreciative and so many commented on the musical variety of the music and the professionalism of the students. What a great way to finish the term.”
