New College Pontefract staff and students brought Christmas cheer to the shoppers of Pontefract this week, whilst raising money for The Prince of Wales Hospice.
Playing in the town centre, the brass and woodwind group and their accompanying singers covered much of the traditional Christmas repertoire, from Silent Night to Jingle Bells and Winter Wonderland.
Many shoppers stopped to listen and enjoy the group during their one-and-a-half hour performance.
“As always, it was a real pleasure seeing our students perform,” said Michelle Colvill, Head of Performing Arts, “and being able to raise money for the Prince of Wales Hospice was an added bonus.”
