Students at New College Pontefract have raised £1,750 for five different charities.
Led by the Student Executive team, the money raised through various different events will go to the following charities this year; Nepal Disaster Fund, Macmillan Cancer, Save the Children, Children in Need and the British Heart Foundation.
Thomas Talbot, Student President, said: “We have put a lot of effort into fundraising this year, raising well over our target of £1000. We have several more events planned this year to raise even more money. I would like to thank everyone at New College, both staff and students, for helping raise these funds as we couldn’t have done it without them!”
