Pauline Hagen, CEO of the New Collaborative Learning Trust, received her OBE from Her Majesty the Queen last week at Buckingham Palace in London.
Pauline was awarded the OBE “for services to education”. In her role as Principal of New College Pontefract, she has led the college to a Grade 1 Ofsted report in 2013-14, and to being shortlisted for TES College of the Year in 2015. She is now heading up the New Collaborative Learning Trust, a multi-academy trust which contains New College Pontefract and which will contain New College Doncaster and New College Bradford. New College Doncaster opens in September 2017, and New College Bradford in September 2019. Together these three northern colleges share a vision to transform educational outcomes and progression opportunities for young people.
“I am very proud and grateful for this recognition of work in the field of education,” said Pauline. “Over the course of a career in the education system I have been reminded daily of just how important it is to focus relentlessly on the needs of every individual learner, because educational success genuinely transforms the quality of their lives and those of the societies and communities they live in. I’m also grateful to the team at New College Pontefract, for their talent, their drive and their profound commitment to our vision.”
