The latest set of Department of Education tables have been released, revealing that New College Pontefract is the 6th best sixth form college in the country in terms of student progress when studying A-Levels.
New College Pontefract are also in the top 10% nationally for A-Levels and the top 8% for vocational studies when it comes to student progress. This includes all colleges, school sixth forms and private schools. The annual tables confirm that, once again, students who choose to study at the outstanding sixth form college make significant progress in their two years.
Vocational students also made exceptional progress. New College is ranked as the 4th best sixth form college in the country for Level 3 BTECs, in terms of student progress.
Both our A-Level point score and our “best 3 average” A-Level point score were also comfortably above the national average, making us the best in the region on these measures. This means that for providers offering 3 or more subjects, New College Pontefract have the best value added results across Wakefield and the surrounding areas.
