Any bus money is non-refundable as of the end of October. In order to support our bus companies in these difficult times and ensure they can continue to pay their staff we are still paying for these contracted services.
The bus pass is heavily subsidised at a cost of £230 to yourselves when it actually costs over £1000 per student for the year. We feel it is very reasonable at this cost and under normal circumstances it works out at £1.20 per day. We have already been at College for 24 weeks and hope to be back before the summer so at worst it would work out this year to be £1.90 per day which is cheaper than any return bus journey.
