The BWB Inclusive Zone Basketball Schools Competition took place this week at the University of Worcester. It was attended by over 60 pupils from all over the UK, as well as HRH the Countess of Wessex.
The battle for bronze saw New College Swindon win the medal with an 11-6 victory against Springwood High School but NEW College Pontefract took home the Gold in a 30-17 victory against Knights Academy London. Coach Andy Green said of the win: “This was a fantastic achievement by a team of gifted and talented students with a desire to enjoy life.”
Aaron Hirst, NEW College Captain said “Winning the national title was the most rewarding achievement of my life.”
