NEW College students get politically engaged

Last month NEW College politics students visited Hull University for a politics conference. They had the opportunity to taste a university atmosphere and took part in an interative sessions on a series of relevant topics with prominent academics.

Teacher Jon Skelton said: “The best session in the students’ eyes was the Question Time session. This enabled them to engage with politicians from different parties.”

Student Lauren Crowther said: “At the Conference it was good to have an insight into politics in a university environment and also to understand which courses involving politics are available to study at Hull University. The debate in the QT session was the best part of the day.”
