Charities were given a cash boost after students at New College raised £496 organising a Christmas Fun Day before the holidays.
The event, which took place around the College raised cash for charities including Help for Heroes, Martin House, Trussel Trust and the Leeds General Infirmary Paediatrics Ward. Activities included pie the teacher, donation stations and bingo. The students also produced a Christmas Variety Show for 120 school children from Halfpenny Lane Primary School.
Rebecca Simpson, New College Drama Teacher, said: “The students did amazingly well and I am incredibly proud of their efforts in organising all the activities. The money they raised goes to such good causes.”
