Finance students Mel Greenwood and Clay Cox received an offer of funding from The London Institute of Banking and Finance upon completion of their studies here at New College Pontefract.
Mel achieved an A* and Clay achieved an A in the Financial Certificate before progressing to the Financial Diploma course. The IFS university offers two degree courses which are centred on banking and the financial services industry.
Rob Hough, Business Teacher at New College, said: “I’m really pleased for both Mel and Clay, who are now in Year 13 on the Diploma in Financial Studies, and have received the offer due to their success on the certificate course last year. They have both been offered £500 and discounted fees of £6000 should they chose a degree course at IFS. They should be very proud of themselves.”
