What are lessons like in this subject?
The Accounting and Finance V level qualification is graded A*-E, in line with A levels, and is ideal for students who prefer a balance of examinations (40%) with coursework or controlled assessments (60%). This qualification has a strong focus on careers and occupational standards.
This course introduces students to the key principles of accounting and finance, helping them understand how businesses manage money and make financial decisions. Lessons combine theoretical knowledge with practical tasks, enabling students to apply their learning to realistic business scenarios.
Students will engage in activities such as analysing financial information, preparing accounts and exploring how organisations operate. Lessons often include discussion of real-world business examples and the opportunity to develop skills that are highly valued in a wide range of careers.
