If you have achieved a minimum of five grade 4s or better and have met all of your subject entry requirements, including the average GCSE points score, congratulations and please attend your allocated enrolment time (2nd or 3rd September) to enrol at New College.
If you have achieved a minimum of five grade 4s or better, but have NOT met all of your subject entry requirements please see the list of available alternative courses that you may wish to study. Attend your allocated enrolment time (2nd or 3rd September) to discuss these changes and see if you can enrol at New College. Please note, we cannot guarantee there will be places available on all of these courses at your appointment.
If you have NOT achieved a minimum of five grade 4s but HAVE met your subject entry requirements, or are extremely close to meeting them, please attend your allocated enrolment time (2nd or 3rd September). We cannot make any guarantees, but we will look at your profile and discuss with teachers your likelihood of success in the subjects you wish to study. In the meantime we understand that you may wish to also enrol elsewhere as a safety net.
If you have NOT achieved a grade 4 in English language or you have fewer than four grade 4s it is highly unlikely that we will be able to offer you a place to study at New College. You are welcome to attend your allocated enrolment time (2nd or 3rd September) and at the very least, we will offer some careers guidance.
How to work out your GCSE points score;
Add together all of the numbers you have achieved in your GCSE qualifications (not Level 2 applied general course, eg BTECs) and divide by how many there are.
