I feel very lucky to be teaching the subjects of music and sound engineering at New College, as they are the things I am most passionate about. I have been regularly performing and creating music since I was 9 years old and have been lucky to have had opportunities to travel around the UK and Europe performing. My first instrument is drums, but I tend to play more guitar now! I also sing, play bass and keys. I studied in Leeds and have a first class degree in Music Performance and Production, and I am well connected in the music industry. Over the years, I have been lucky to work in different studios, recording and producing a variety of artists. I still play in several different bands that regularly gig around West Yorkshire and beyond. Some highlights of my performing life are playing at venues such as O2 Academies, theatres and festivals. I have worked in various schools and educational establishments throughout my teaching career so far, giving me experience in a variety of different settings. I am now joint Head of Performing Arts at New College, and it is a pleasure to work with such a strong team of talented and dedicated staff and students. I am passionate that every student should have the opportunity to study a Performing Arts subject! I look forward to meeting you in the future.
